After learning about the problems with the hopper of the bucket elevator, an analysis was conducted on the disassembled hopper. Most of the hoppers had some deformation on their back plates, but if the deformation was within a controllable range, it would not be affected. It has a great influence. If the deformation is too large, it will cause adverse effects. This deformation of the bucket elevator reduces the volume of the hopper and decreases the conveying capacity of the bucket elevator, resulting in a smaller output volume of material than the incoming material, thereby increasing the thickness of the compacted material layer. Most of the front nozzles of the hopper have been worn and damaged. Therefore, the reasons for the deformation of the lifting hopper are:

1. The material layer at the bottom of the elevator and the compression of the heavy hammer.  

2. The strength of the hopper itself is insufficient. How to improve the strength of the hopper without significantly increasing its weight is the key to solving this problem.
